ON LOCATION : A/W 13 PHOTO SHOOT

We spent an exciting but exhausting two days on our very first ‘on location’ photo shoot in Loch Lomond, photographing our New A/W 13 cashmere collection.

The first day we spent at a beautiful log cabin in the woods, getting into a cosy wintery vibe -surrounded by old fashioned gas lamps, hand-made bunting, tartan rugs and sheepskin throws.

Hair and make-up on the porch – we had to use a generator as there was no electricity in the cabin!

We were lucky to have the weather on our side and it stayed dry for us as we did all the outside shots, and we even had lunch outside – a rare thing in Scotland!

Day two and we were not so lucky, the rain was coming down all morning but we cracked on with the entire team sheltering under umbrellas! What more can you expect from the West Coast of Scotland - at least the model was cosy and warm in all that cashmere knitwear!

The true Scottish weather made for some great atmospheric shots… we love this one of our Hand Knitted Cable Jumper.

By the afternoon the weather had cleared up and we were on the road again driving up to the North end of the Loch towards the famously haunted, Drovers Inn.

For the final few shots, we had to hit the road again and head into the hills to a Glen not too far from the Drovers.

As the day light started to fade away behind the hills, we were pushed for time to get the last few knits photographed. We took full advantage of this dramatic natural light - something we could never recreate in a studio - and you can now see how all the pictures turned out, online at www.cameron-taylor.com
