A/W 15 : STYLING
Once again we have styled our photo shoot with clothes, footwear and handbags from our exclusive stockist, Epitome of Edinburgh.
This season is all about casual chic and the ‘Normcore’ trend. So we chose some well-made classics like tailored sweatpants, hardwearing boyfriend jeans, soft jersey coats and blazers, Italian socks, leather sneakers and foam soled brogues.
Here are a couple of our favourite pieces…
Sofie D’Hoore Pact Fitted Sweatpants Charcoal Melange £305
MiH Slouch Breton Top Black/Cream £125
Grenson Lucy Derby Brogue £225
Kate Sheridan Pop Rucksack Black £325
Kate Sheridan Palm Rucksack Sand £155
As well as being the exclusive stockist of our cashmere knitwear, Epitome stocks a wide variety of designer clothes and accessories from big and small names a like. Focusing on quality of design instead of brand led fashion - classic style and traditional craftsmanship blends with a minimal androgynous aesthetic. As well as the labels mentioned above, they also stock collections by ‘S Maxmara, Engineered Garments, Stella Jean, Levi’s Made & Crafted, Chloe Stora and many more…

BEHIND THE SCENES : A/W 15 Photo Shoot
This Autumn/Winter we took our photo shoot on location to the Biscuit Factory in Leith.
This building has been converted into a multi-purpose arts hub. The stunning old factory boasts some gorgeous crumbling brick walls, giant panelled windows, tiled walls, peeling paint and all sorts of photogenic nooks and crannies. It’s a beautiful space that is flooded with natural light through its large windows and skylights.
Probably the coolest location in Edinburgh right now, it has already been featured in several fashion shoots, videos and played host to an NBC talk show during the Edinburgh Fringe. We’ve been told there are even plans to convert the roof space into a garden with a gin bar and yoga centre.
This season we enlisted the help of young photographer, Nuala Swan. She works mainly on 35mm film so her photos have a bold and brave clarity. She has a great eye and talent for the kind of photography we love. (Take a gander at her portfolio below to see more of her work…)
Hair and Make-Up artist, Molly Sheridan, and up and coming Glaswegian model, Linda Margaret Young, had both worked with Nuala before. So we were lucky to have a great team dynamic on the shoot which hugely contributed to it's success - a relaxed atmosphere and good company are key to a good creative environment.
Working with this style of photography was challenging in an age of digital, where you're used to instantly checking and analysing your work as you go – waiting for the film to be developed was nerve-wracking but very exciting!
We want to thank the whole team for all their hard work on the two day shoot, you did a fantastic job and we're delighted with the new campaign. We feel this shoot has really captured the essence of Cameron taylor*style – All we want is to create desirable, practical and contemporary cashmere that you'll love.
Thanks again,
Lisa & Charlotte
