Designer's Biography

Lisa Cameron Taylor, founder and designer, established the Cameron Taylor* cashmere brand in 2001 following years of experience in knitwear design and this year the label celebrates 10 years of successful business. Lisa trained at the Scottish College of textiles and the Royal College of Art in London where she received her masters degree in fashion knitwear. She then went to work in Milan for 18 months for Italian fashion house Mila Schon, working very closely with the Japanese stylist Mika Mizutani, where she gained a mountain of experience and knowledge. Lisa moved back to London and freelanced for designers including Nicole Farhi which gave her the confidence and ability to set up her own label, Cameron Taylor*, in 2001. Since the onset, Cameron Taylor* designs have been a success and have been exhibited at London, Paris, Milan, Berlin and New York fashion weeks.

Cameron Taylor* Philosophy

Cameron Taylor* is a contemporary luxury cashmere knitwear collection concentrating on modern shapes that remain classic and timeless, offering the buyer an alternative to traditional cashmere design. The luxury label introduced heavy 6 ply cashmere knitted jackets and coats onto the market which instantly became a 'must have' for all cashmere wearers. The jackets and coats are extremely recognisable with the unusual shapes and accessorized by large horn and beautiful shell buttons. The Cameron Taylor* brand is effortlessly chic which suits all types of women.

The collection is produced by a small well established factory in the Scottish borders which has over a hundred years of experience in the cashmere industry providing a team of highly skilled workers to ensure the Cameron taylor* knitwear is of the highest quality. Cameron taylor* only uses the highest quality spun cashmere and cashmere blends to produce the collections.
